Ava was pretty confused at this point, but she answered, “Well… everything. Pretty much.” She laughed and scratched her neck. “Except for when my mom tries to make coffee. Oh, God, it’s so awful!” She shook her head with a grin. “No, but… They raised me. They taught me how to deal with life.” She smiled fondly. “Roe always helped me deal with my emotions. Both her and my mother were there for me in my darkest moments. They never gave up on me, even when I did… They certainly aren’t perfect, but nobody is.” She looked out at the stars once again. “But to answer your question… it’s hard to pinpoint specific things I love about them. Take my mother for example. I admire her for her strength and persistence. And what I love about her is that despite all this, she can still be very gentle. Roe is similar in that aspect. I love her for being optimistic at all times and cheering us up when we needed it. She always provided a new point of view and taught me how things change when one looks at them from a different angle. You see,” her eyes returned to him, “Listing all the things I love about them would take forever.”
